Bears vs. Packers Q&A: Chicago fans tired of hearing Bears drafted wrong QB On Sunday http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/nick-perry-jersey , the Green Bay Packers kick off their season against their archrivals, the Chicago Bears. Lester Wiltfong of Windy City Gridiron was kind enough to answer some of our questions about the Bears and provide insight into their strengths and weaknesses.APC: The Bears appear to have every intention of playing Khalil Mack Sunday night. Given that he hasn’t spent time in an NFL facility all offseason and arrived in Chicago just a week before the season opener, what concerns, if any, do you have about him playing so soon? How do you expect the Bears will utilize him this week?APC: While the Mack addition has understandably garnered most of the attention surrounding Sunday’s game, Matt Nagy will make his regular-season debut as the Bears head coach. Based on what you’ve seen through training camp and the preseason, which players on Chicago’s roster will benefit the most from the new coach and offensive scheme?APC: The Bears traded up in the 2017 NFL Draft to make Mitch Trubisky the top quarterback selected that year. Since then, fellow rookies Deshaun Watson put together half a season of MVP-level play and Patrick Mahomes pushed out Alex Smith in Kansas City while Trubisky endured a pedestrian rookie season (12 games, seven touchdowns, seven interceptions). Do you think the Bears would have been better served had they drafted one of the other QBs last year instead of Trubisky?APC: If you were in charge of game planning against the Bears, how would you attack the Bears on offense? On defense?APC: Finally http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/bryan-bulaga-jersey , it’s prediction time. Injuries resulted in an unusual lineup at receiver that week. With Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery (splitting time at receiver and running back by that point), and James Starks out of the lineup, the Packers were forced to go receiver heavy in their lineup, even if they didn’t have many experienced receivers around.“I think that’s a nice comparison,” said McCarthy of the callback. “If I recall, Geronimo Allison had his first touchdown.”He did, in fact. Allison caught two passes for 21 yards and a touchdown in 19 snaps that day. Fellow rookie Trevor Davis added three catches for 24 yards and a touchdown of his own in 36 snaps. (Jeff Janis also caught four passes for 30 yards and a score and played 58 snaps (94%). That’s the most we’d ever see him on the field on offense in a single game Authentic Kevin King Jersey , but that’s really not the point of this story.)As in that trip to Atlanta two years ago, the Packers will have to lean heavily on younger receivers this week. Even if Davante Adams can play, it doesn’t seem likely that Randall Cobb or Geronimo Allison will be available. There will be plenty of snaps to go around for the Packers’ three rookies.Sooner or later, the Packers were going to have to find out whether their young receivers could play. It looks like that could be Sunday. In McCarthy’s words, “It’s all about those guys taking advantage of their opportunity.” Packers WRs for now: Three rookies and three injuries | ESPNRob Demovsky dives into the implications of the Packers playing rookie receivers for big snaps this week. Why releasing Jordy Nelson still right move for Green Bay Packers | Packers NewsEven with a lot of young players on the field this week, Pete Dougherty argues the Packers still made the right call when they moved on from Jordy Nelson.Jimmy Graham’s presence is ‘taking pressure off other guys’ | Packers.comIf anybody can take some pressure off the rookies, it’s Jimmy Graham. But with Graham himself banged up this week, can he provide what the Packers need?Packers dominating with the blitz to start 2018 | Packers WireAs our Peter Bukowski pointed out this week, the Packers have improved their situational football big time so far this year.
